ez nekem kinaiul!

Volt amikor eleg jol beszeltem magyarul, de kezdtem elfelejteni. Hat, nem is nagy meglepetes az, mert itt Dalianban nem talalkoztam magyarokkal es ugy erzem magam hogy nem is fogok. Na, az a kerdesem hogy van-e egy magyar beszelo olvaso, talan kinaban, aki segitenni fog. Szeretnek ujra magyarul beszelni, szoval nyugaton irjatok valamit nekem.

Ok?

What was that all about? Any guesses? (Which language?)

  4. Well done Bernard and Rick, go to the top of the class. It is Hungarian (the clue might have been “magyar” which we sometimes use in English) and it’s a text I wrote myself. The title could be translated as “It’s all Greek to me” which in Hungarian is, “that’s Chinese to me” and it’s a request to any Hungarian speakers and readers to get in touch so as I can practice my fading Hungarian skills. I lived there for 5 years so I used to be quite fluent. Haven’t met many Hungarians in Dalian and I feel like I have a secret language rusting away in my head.
