Who am I?
I’m an English English teacher who’s lived and worked in Hungary, Japan, Thailand, England, and now in Dalian, North-East China…which is my wife’s home town. Life seems good in this city and we will probably bring up our daughter here. So, a decade of Dalian beckons, more than likely, and that’s about how long I’m going to need to learn to speak and read Chinese.
By blogging about various matters eastwest, I intend to bring about mutual understanding and harmony between so-called western and eastern cultures. Yes, this blog wants world peace.
And you?

I liked your discussion on censorship. I live in Honolulu and have an interest in health care reform in China besides other things. Drop by my bog when you can.

Hi Kim nice to meet you last night in F2. Bit of a coincidence stumbling across your blog the very next day courtesy of a link from my boss. Sorry we didn’t get more of a chance to chat. Maybe in coming weeks!

Cool, another Dalian blogger! The city certainly needs more of an online presence.
Drop me an email, I’m in Dalian and although I’m sure you’re busy with baby, it would be good to chat.

Hi Kim!
I am an American expat living in China for 6 years. My hobby is working. My interests are languages, books, history, blogging, travelling and trying to find the perfect massage. Favorably one that I can get once a year on my birthday that removes all stress from my body, heart and soul.
My wife is Chinese, and we own a new home in Jiangsu Province.
Just scannes some of your blog, look forward to reading it all.
Cheers,
LaoLao

I changed on your page looking for the full citation of quasi-inductive writing piece by John Hinds. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. I am moving and muy stuff in in chaos and a student just completing her dissertatation needs it ASAP - Thanks.
And your material is interesting. I was skimming very quickly but one idea I got was that you thought Hinds is superficial in his ideas aobut the Japanese language. He lived in Japan for sometime, and had published quite a bit on the Japanese language and culture. If I recall correctly, he was married to a Japanese woman. When he realized he was terminally ill, he returned to the US.

Hi,
What’s your email address? I would like to republish some of your blog posts to the forum of ChinaTravel.net with other of our contributing bloggers. Your posts would be linked to your blog and you would be fully accredited.
You make some excellent observations and your writing is high quality. Also I could use a correspondent in Dalian, if you were interested in doing a feature article on your city at a later date.
Thanks,
Rebekah

Dear Kimberley,
you’re an arse but you’re also right for a change. Just don’t answer the door if any knocks late at night. How about Skyping some time?
